Beatriz Dominguez's animated film, Fur Away, has received a Special Mention at the Animayo Festival (Festival Internacional de Cine de Animacîon) in Gran Canaria. The film, soundtracked by Contour Chromatic composers Robert Sword and Giles Thomas, has already made the official selection for a number of animated film festivals, including Anima Syros (Syros, Greece), StopTrik International Film Festival (Poland), Montreal Stop Motion Film Festival (Canada), Manchester Animation Festival (UK) and V Brasil International Stop Motion Festival (Brasil), and was nominated for the Royal Television Society's London Student Awards earlier this year. Judges for the Animayo Festival included Bob Kurtz, Puneet Sharma, Luca Raffaelli, Luis San Juan Pallares, Cinzia Angelini and Manuel González.

Contour Chromatic have recently been creating the music for a browser-based strategy game entitled Feudal Wars. Inspired by real time strategy games such as Age Of Empires, this game is now playable in demo form at the website. The National Theatre's production of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, directed by Dominic Cooke and starring Sharon D. Clarke, which is running at the National until May 18th, has recently won the Olivier Award for Best Revival. The show has received high critical acclaim in the Telegraph, The Guardian, The Times and a number of other publications. Contour Chromatic composer Giles Thomas was associate sound designer to Paul Arditti for the production.
The Path Towards Tomorrow, the debut single from Damian Montagu's upcoming classical album, In A South Downs Way, has been selected by British actor Hugh Bonneville as one of his Desert Island Discs on the recent BBC Radio 4 broadcast. Contour Chromatic composer Robert Sword played the piano and created the string arrangements for the album, which were performed by the Tippett Quartet.
The track is available to purchase on iTunes, Amazon and other such sites, and is streamable on Spotify here. Since its release earlier this week, it has reached no. 1 on the iTunes and Amazon classical charts. The album will be released this summer.
Contour Chromatic composer Giles Thomas recently composed the music and sound design for Noma Dumezweni's production of I See You, written by Mongiwekhaya, which opened at the Royal Court Theatre yesterday and runs until 26th March. The play stars leading South African actor Desmond Dube.

Clive Judd's production of This Will End Badly, the critically acclaimed play by Rob Hayes, is transferring to the Southwark Playhouse after a successful debut run at the Edinburgh Fringe.
